From out of town needing my Starbucks fix. If you're like me I do not recommend you go here for coffee. Coffee was hot. That is all Also did some shopping for my wine fix later in day -average price was 10.00 over normal retail which I guess is great for a restaurant but not for cash and carry. They received no more of my money.

Wow!!! who would have thought that such a great place would exist in Poplar Bluff!!! What a great place to hang out, have a glass of incredible wine and meet some new friends!!! So here is my take on The Wine Rack: The decor is like a wine shop/coffee shop. Racks of wine line the walls. The counter is like a coffee shop. The service was good, several of the wait staff took care of me. Brian, the head waiter (I assume) made several great suggestions, showing his knowledge of the menu and wines. Yes, you can trust his suggestions. I ordered the Beef Tenderloin with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus...wow, it was fantastic. The bread great, warm and served with oil and balsamic vineagar along with a salad to get me started. The tenderloin was fantastic as was the grilled asparagus...but, just not enough of it. Brian suggested the Penner Ash 2008 Willamette Pinot Noir, wow was it great. So much that I bought a bottle to take home. Then there is the desert. I had the Hungarian Trifle. (I had it on faith from the baker that it was great -and it was). Thanks Gabi! If you are in Poplar Bluff and want a good meal, this is the place.

I recently visited here and came back a second time the same week. Great atmosphere! Warehouse meets winery. Craft beer, great wine selection, intimate and personable atmosphere, coffees, desserts, chef-inspired dinner/lunch menu. The food is not average. It's top-notch and the menu choices are well thought out. Typical choices are baked brie cheese, potato skins with Parmesan cheese and prosciutto, burgers, steaks, seafood and beyond. Creative salads too. This is the type of place you want to add to your visit-often list. It's where you want to bring a client, share lunch with friends, come by yourself and read a paper. Take advantage of this establishment Poplar Bluff. You would normally have to drive to a big city to get this kind of unique, creative atmosphere.

I love the wine rack! The food is amazing for the Poplar Bluff area, the drinks are great and the service is incredible. Poplar Bluff should be happy such a great place is in their town. I am so sick of catfish as being the seafood option in restaurants around here. The Wine Rack's sea bass is to die for!

Decent soy latte and really good food for a lunch stop while passing through Missouri. I saw the positive reviews from the locals and gave it a shot, expecting to be dissappointed (in a region that tends to judges eateries by the quantity of food served rather than quality it's best to be cautious) but was pleasantly surprised. The Nicoise salad (with salmon) was first rate with really fresh lettuce mix and a nice dressing. The soup of the day (lobster bisque) was also excellent. My husband had the veggie burger, which he deemed "pretty good" (high praise, from a conniesuer of the genre). He also said, "I'd stop here again."

They do sell wine by the bottle. It is a wine store I guess we didn't need that so it never came up, but I wanted to point that out to everyone. I can't wait to get back there again and try another item on the menu .

Superb food, outstanding service and a good wine list. Took visiting guests there (one from NYC and one from Paris, France). Both were delighted to enjoy The Wine Rack's high quality on all counts.

Besides the fly that wouldn't leave us alone, this place was really awesome! Where else can you get great wine, beer, a latte or an Americano with a great meal, the bowl was a great idea and tasty. The salmon salad everyone raved about was good but not as great as expected, the dressing was creamy, I would've preferred a lighter dressing. The Brie was good of course, but not worth trying if you're watching your calories. I'd definitely return there!!

Pretty good place. Very nice and clean. The baked Brie was amazing! Beware: olives are not pitted. The filet was over cooked and the sauce was not good. They did split our food for us since we were sharing. That was nice. They have a very large wine and beer selection. If you like hard to find wines or craft beers, this is the place.

Great restaurant with wonderful ambiance, friendly, attentive staff. Everything I've had here was made with fresh ingredients. Menu is varied and imaginative. I always have a cappuccino. The baked Brie and soup or salad makes an excellent lunch. Also love the antipasto when they have it. Love the small pizzas too. Eating here is a special treat!

cool place! Wasn't expecting to find a place like this in Poplar Bluff. I'm here on business an it was a great place to getaway for a glass of wine and a nice meal. I built my own pasta bowl and the sauce was really good! Service was good too, all the employees were friendly and down to earth.

Best place to eat in Poplar Bluff. I love their salads and sandwiches; never had a bad meal or poor service there. Great bar and excellent wine! Stop for a bite any day except Sunday and you won't be disappointed!

What a pleasure! The food, the beer, the service: all spot on. I dropped in while on business travel from Chicago. That ribeye rivaled the best joints I've ever visited. Truly fantastic. Although I heard many tables being incredible particular about odd facets of their orders, I went with "medium rare" and waited to see what would come. Wonderfully marbled meat, well seasoned, and warm with about 70% of the cut's thickness bloody red? Not a pile, but a personally proportioned cube of au gratin leveraging imported cheese? A sauteed veg mix that retains a subtle crunch while not being overshadowed by piles of salt or seasoning? Are we getting your attention yet? My selection was traditional, a test of the basic American fare; although, much of the menu (and what I saw leaving the kitchen) is quite inventive, well presented, and light on the digestive track. I'll be awaiting an opportunity to return for it. The staff is youthful, sharp, and engaging. I felt like old friends with a number of the staff before I left. Perfect service and I never had to influence the pace of their able hands. I'm a beer man and cannot speak to the wine, but the malt & hop menu is very fairly accommodating; suitable to the diverse palate, ranging from Belgium to our own hoped up west coast with a good smattering of Middle American breweries. Whether you just want a pack to go / bottle to go / or singles/glasses all evening, the choice is yours. I've never posted before, but finally felt the urge. Enjoy this treasure of southern Missouri.

I've been a loyal patron of The Wine Rack for several years now. There aren't very many places in Poplar Bluff to have a nice night out that isn't a chain restaurant or dive (though I do love a great dive!!) - the Wine Rack fills that gap. The baked Brie with Mediterranean toppings is to die for. On diet "cheat days" I've been known to make a meal of that little dish all on my own. Other great options are the ribeye steak with the most delicious gratin potatoes you've ever tasted, shrimp with smoked cheddar grits and the "Stuffed Bella" mushroom cap. The dining areas are spacious with a nice little deck open during the warmer months. It's a great place to gather with friends during happy hour! The bartenders are generally knowledgeable and can whip up just about anything you can imagine, often kicking it up a notch with their own flair. With a regularly rotating selection of craft beer on tap (Chimay on draft?! Yes please!), a generous wine list and a menu of temping plates that fit just about any diet, I can't think of a better place to meet, greet and mingle. Brian has done a fantastic job of maintaining this popular little spot for residents and visitors of our little hamlet. If I had one complaint - it might be that the frequent turnover in wait staff on occasion results in less than stellar service. The majority of the time, however, I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience there.

I stopped here for a coffee mocha and was pretty disappointed. It's a nice place, more of a bar/restaurant rather than a coffee shop. I thought the service was rather slow, somewhat snooty. And my mocha was pretty lousy. Very disappointed.

I arrived here at 9:45 on a Monday morning. I had some business in Poplar Bluff and wanted to grab some quick breakfast from a local joint The place was empty except for me and a worker. The kitchen was open for lunch items, which delighted me because I am a hobbit, and like to eat second breakfast. The young man recommended the Tuscan chicken panini, which I ordered. It came with ordinary kettle chips. The sandwich itself was made fresh. It had a ciabatta bun, moist grilled chicken breast, sautéed spinach, red peppers, melted cheese, and pesto. It was hot and delicious. The space itself is modern, featuring treated concrete floors and small 4 top tables with Eames style school chairs. The ceiling are high with stylish track lighting. The walls are vibrant bold colors like orange and red. Wine, liquor and beer are displayed around the perimeter. I look forward to a lunch or dinner here later.

Very pricey at times other than lunch. Also, for a supposed "craft beer" establishment you'd think they'd serve a beer the proper way instead of chilled mugs or glasses. Also, beware of the freshness of craft beers in the coolers. These are also marked up like a furniture store. Good place to go if someone else is paying.

My husband liked the tuna dinner entree so much that he claimed we should move to this town/state to eat it again! My caprese salad was great too: the mozzarella was fresh, and the balsamic was delicious. The flourless chocolate cake was okay too, and the wine/beer/alcohol/coffee selections looked extensive. But really, get the tuna.
